Huckleberry Festival!

Wow! It's been a busy day! Up here in Donnelly the Huckleberry Festival is a big thing and it has brought a lot of people into town. The Little Firefly definitely was a buzzin'. It was as busy as the 4th of July. My brother, Jason, was in town with his portable restaurant "The Dragonfly" and we both had a busy day. The only bad thing about the Huckleberry Festival is that it is on Saturday and Sunday, so we miss out on a lot of money on Sunday. But we have faith that the Lord will bless us for not opening on Sunday. We tried to buy some huckleberries to put in our waffles and french toast but the cost was $150 for 4 lbs! Our mouths dropped when we heard the price! Of course we didn't buy them, so we sold Huckleberry ice cream, Italian Sodas, and Smoothies. We also had huckleberry flavoring to put in hot and cold drinks. All in all it was a good day!
