Barbie Jeep

Michael is a huge craigs list person. He is on there a lot trying to find a hood for our restaurant and he came across a barbie jeep for Hannah for $20 ! It needed a new battery and the back tires are a little shot but $20 is a great buy. A lady was selling it and she lives in Meridian and we were headed down to the valley anyway so it worked out great. We bought a new battery and Hannah is having a hay day with it. She is learning the whole steering thing. I'll tell her to turn the wheels and she will physically get out of the car and turn the wheel. I am trying to teach her to use the steering wheel to turn the wheels. She hasn't crashed yet!

Let's go for a walk

On Sep 10th Hannah, Gavin, and I went for a walk to enjoy the weather before it got really cold. There aren't a lot of trees by our house but across the street there is a wooded areas with a bunch of animal trails. So we went exploring to see what was over there. Hannah was searching for flowers the whole time. We saw some really cool tunnels that were underground but you could see them on the surface and a huge ant pile with needles on top. And Hannah found her flowers!

Yummy Food

Gavin is now eating baby food and he LOVES it! He is not a huge rice cereal fan but he loves peas and sweet potatoes. That is all the baby food I have given him so far, but I think he will be a really good eater. He always stares at us when we eat.

It's Moving day!

We have been looking for a different house to move into for quite a while. Mike's parents moved in with us and the house we were in was just too small for all of us. Plus we lived on a busy road so Hannah couldn't just go out to play and the backyard was always flooded. So every Thursday Lori and I would look in the paper (just like a ton of other couples up here looking for a house) and see if there are any new houses for rent. We looked at quite a few houses but nothing seemed to work for us. We found a house in the paper that sounded perfect so we called on it. The realtor couldn't show it until the carpets got cleaned so she put us on the list so we could see it. We were number 30 on the list! But thanks to Jason who has connections we got bumped up to number 1 on the list and we got the house! The house is perfect for our situation. Downstairs consists of a big laundry room, a living room, the kitchen, dining room, and a the master bedroom with a bathroom and walk in closet. The bathroom is big and has a garden soaker tub. I love to use the tub but it is a little deep when I am trying to wash Hannah's hair, and I don't know how to bath Gavin in there yet. The upstairs consists of a living room, a half kitchen, a bathroom, and two bedrooms. So Ernie and Lori have their space and we have ours. It's perfect! As soon as I finish moving in and finish decorating I will put some pictures on my blog.

Hannah's Birthday!

Hannah has been talking about her birthday for months now. She would come up to me and say "Mom, it's almost my birthday!" So when the big day finally arrived she was so excited! Grandma Coombs, Lorinda, and the kids came up for her birthday. We went over to Lisa's house so the kids could play outside and then we opened presents and ate cake. When it was time for Hannah to open presents all the kids wanted to help. And to my surprise Hannah let them help her. Hannah got a Dora backpack, a Lite Brite, Nerf guns, and a mini laptop for her birthday. But the present she likes the most is a Dora Globe you plug into the tv and play games on it. My mom gave that to her and she LOVES it! After presents we were going to do the birthday cake but we decided to eat dinner first. I don't know how many times Hannah asked if she could blow out the candles on her birthday cake. And once she blew them out she wanted to do it over and over. I can't believe I have a three year old! She is growing up so fast! She acts a little older now too. Her sentences are getting longer, she can count backwards, and she is a big helper now. If only she would potty train. She has no desire to even go on the potty. Little stinker!
